Joe Orton’s 1967 screwball comedy, perilous to progressives though it be, is nearly always a laugh riot. It doesn’t really require much in the way of sound, especially in the New York script version that we used for this production (no epic ending, you see), but I did help set the time and the tone by using period music to introduce the show and between the acts. The Rolling Stones brought us into intermission. I also built the alarm that serves as the close of act one and opening of act II.
